Recurring injuries. Programs that don't fit your body. Conditions that complicate everything. It's not that you need a cheerleader to simply push you harder. You need to be doing the right kind of work.

That's what an Exercise Physiologist does. We find out what's stopping you, help you navigate around it, and design work that fits your body.

Why Exercise Physiology Is Different

Find what's holding you back from strength training benefits.

You've tried before. It didn't fail because of you. It failed because nobody found the real barrier.

Something's Blocking You

Recurring injuries. Programs that don't fit your body. Conditions that complicate everything. You're not stuck because you gave up. You're stuck because something is in the way.

We Find What's Stopping You

An Exercise Physiologist identifies your specific barriers, whether injury patterns, movement limitations, or programming mismatches. Then we design around them.

Finally Make Real Progress

Your assessment reveals what's been holding you back. Then we build a plan that works around YOUR specific situation. Not generic advice. Just the right solution for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most programs fail because they never identify what's blocking YOU specifically. We start by figuring out what got in your way before — whether it's an injury, a condition, or simply the wrong approach for your body. Once we find the barrier, we can design around it. That's the fundamental difference: we don't give you a plan and hope it works. We find what stopped you last time and make sure it doesn't stop you again.
That's exactly why you need an Exercise Physiologist instead of a generic trainer. We specialise in working WITH injuries and conditions, not ignoring them. Your assessment identifies what's safe, what's not, and how to progress without pain. Conditions like arthritis, disc injuries, chronic pain, post-surgical rehab — these aren't obstacles we avoid. They're the barriers we're trained to find solutions for.
Your Personalised Strength Assessment takes 45–60 minutes. This includes a thorough discussion about your health history, your past training experiences, and what's gotten in the way before — followed by movement and strength assessments designed to identify your specific barriers. We take the time to understand what's actually going on with YOUR body, not rush you through a checklist. Ongoing training sessions are typically 45–60 minutes of focused, one-on-one work built around your plan.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in — activewear, leggings, or stretchy pants with a comfortable top are all perfect. Supportive closed-toe shoes are recommended. We need to see how your body moves to identify what's been holding you back, so clothing that allows natural movement is ideal. We have everything else you need at the studio.
That's exactly why this approach matters. Many of our clients came to us after years of inactivity — often because previous experiences put them off. The assessment starts where YOU are right now and identifies what's been in your way, whether that's a physical barrier, a past bad experience, or simply never having the right guidance. We don't assume anything about your fitness level. We find your starting point and build from there.
After your assessment, you'll receive a clear summary of what we found — the specific barriers that have been holding you back, your movement patterns, your strengths, and your areas for improvement — along with a personalised plan designed to work around YOUR situation. From there, you can choose ongoing one-on-one sessions at our Manly studio, a structured home program built for you, or a combination of both. There's no lock-in contract and no obligation — clients stay because they've finally found someone who identified what was blocking them and built a real solution. Most choose to train 1–2 times per week.
Yes. Exercise Physiology services are eligible for Medicare rebates under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan — ask your GP for a referral. Most private health insurance providers also cover Exercise Physiology under their extras/ancillary benefits. We process claims on the spot with our HICAPS terminal. This can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost per session.
We understand plans change. You can reschedule or cancel with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge — use the link in your confirmation email or call us on (02) 9053 2283. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee, as your assessment time is reserved exclusively for you.
